Alan Novick, MD, FAAPMR
Memorial Rehabilitation Institute
Dr. Novick is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic medicine. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, he completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Dr. Novick earned his undergraduate degree in electrical and biomedical engineering from Duke University. He has been the Medical Director of Rehabilitative Services for Memorial Healthcare System since 2001 and also held this position from 1991 to 1994. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Medical Association.
Janice Cohen, MD, FAAPMR
Dr. Cohen is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a fellow with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She graduated from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Dr. Cohen completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas and relocated to South Florida. She has been affiliated with Memorial since 2009. Dr. Cohen's areas of specialty include inpatient rehabilitation and electromyography.
Keith Foster, MD, MBA, FAAPMR
Dr. Keith Foster is a board-certified doctor in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada in 2008, and completed his residency at Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University in 2012, where he served as Chief Resident. He earned his master's of business administration degree from East Carolina School of Business in 2012.
Ivor Nugent, MD, FAAPMR
Dr. Nugent is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with specialty certification in sports medicine. A graduate of the University of the West Indies, he completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York and a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Santa Clara, California. Dr. Nugent has been affiliated with Memorial Healthcare System since 2004. He is a member of the Kingston College Old Boys Association of Florida, and his professional memberships include the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Laura Wilner, MD,
Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Medicine
Dr. Laura Wilner is a board-certified pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist. Prior to joining Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, she served as the medical director in pediatric physiatry at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN, where she also served as the chair of the department of physiatry.
Dr. Wilner earned her bachelor’s degree in speech and language pathology from Northwestern University in Chicago, after which she earned her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School. She has helmed numerous teaching appointments over the course of her career and has presented at many conferences and annual meetings over the past 25 years.
Roland D. Kaplan, DO, FAAPMR
Dr. Kaplan is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a fellow with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. A graduate of Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in North Miami Beach, Florida, he completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at State University of New York Health and Science Center at Brooklyn. His specialties include orthopedics, sports-related injuries, spinal injuries, spinal manipulation, craniosacral therapy and pain management. He is a former clinical instructor for the Orthopedic Residency Program at Parkway Regional Medical Center in North Miami Beach. Dr. Kaplan is a clinical assistant professor at Nova Southeastern University in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Department of Osteopathic Medicine. He speaks several languages, including Spanish, Hebrew, Yiddish and Hungarian. He has been affiliated with Memorial since 1998.
Galit Levy, MD
Dr. Galit Levy earned her medical degree at Sackler School of Medicine in 2005. She completed her internship at Beth Israel Medical Center, NYC in 2006 and her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2009.
