To schedule an evaluation, obtain a physician's prescription. During the evaluation, the therapist will work to develop an individualized treatment plan designed to help meet individual needs.
The goals of therapy are to reduce pain and swelling, increase joint motion, increase strength and improve function. The ultimate goal is to help patients in their efforts to achieve the highest level of function and return to normal everyday activities.
U18 Sports Medicine is a multidisciplinary program offering comprehensive medical, orthopedic and rehabilitation services to student athletes. Our roster of sports medicine specialists includes fellowship-trained, board-certified, pediatric orthopedic surgeons from Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Division of Pediatric Orthopedics. Our rehabilitation team consists of physical therapists specialized in orthopedics and sports medicine. Additionally, we partner with youth organizations and schools by providing educational seminars, coaches' clinics and specific programs to help manage injuries.
